8 X 10 Polaroid Processor: How to use?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

I've recently purchased a Polaroid 8 X 10 processor, casette and film holder. The processor is an 8-01, the casette 8-09 and the film holder 8-06. I'm assured that it works together, but I've never used one before, and the people who sold it to me (second hand) weren't very helpful. I've not found any info on the Polaroid web site. I'm hoping to use it this next week, and wonder if anybody could provide any general instructions on how the machine is used. Obviously, I have an 8 X 10 camera and a supply of 8 X 10 Polaroid film. Specifically, how are the separate negative and positive sheets of Polaroid film placed?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I am looking at the Polaroid manual for the processor, 81-06, and 81-09. If you will contact me privately by e-mail I will arrange to have it copied for you. In the meantime, Polaroid lists a toll free number (USA) for tech support for the 8 x 10 system. 800 225-1618. The hours are 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern Time. Monday to Friday. They may be able to send you a copy of the book. It is a 8 1/2 x 11 book, with a photo of the processor, loading tray and film holder on the cover. The contents are in eight languages. ON the back cover is the number OPXW1673H 5/94 I am guessing that is the publication number.
