Gee, I don't know, Infidel. Why the word 'attack' with regards to 'pollys'???? This defies imagination at this late date. John Whitley is certainly no polly, rather, he is someone reporting news that is pertinent.

In the end, Infidel, I am left to wonder if the scoreboard is in error in your neck of the woods. The 'pollys' don't deserve the attack---hey---the fact is, they 'won'. Instead, quite possibly the staunch doom crowd, that predicted the end of the world...should be taken to task.

Explain that to me. Why are such individuals allowed to go on unscathed???

Bad Co. Nobody won.We're 2 minutes into the first quarter.Those who took a position of the extreme,on either the polly or doomer side,have been wrong.There was no immediate breakdown of the infrastructure and it also was not a clean transition.There are failures daily.If you recall .gov has stated,before the rollover,they will monitor events and release information as they see fit.According to .gov and the extreme pollies and doomers 1/1/00 was the cut-off date.If nothing happened immediately most likely nothing will happen.Sorry,I don't agree.There are breakdowns daily.Most go unreported.Granted,systems can operate with errors and most errors are insignificant or mundane.However,when errors are transmitted and compounded with other errors the effect will be much greater.To put it in a different perspective,1 out of 10 people waiting for a bus are sick.The bus is going to take them to a train to board an airplane to get on a ship.By time they all get on the ship half of the people are sick.Right now we are only on the bus and we have a long way to go until we make it to the ship.

I attacked J. Whitley because of the drastic drop off that I observed on this board. He was posting boring polly reports from small newspapers around the country.

The final straw was when he posted an article from the Huntsville Times. My home town that I went running and screaming from twenty years ago. I accidentally threw a ribit.

It was clear that the crew appreciated his post. I was wrong. It had nothing to do with this polly vs doomer nonsense.

So, as a good polly, make something more devious out of it.

What kind of references do you have to have to work at the Humane Society? It's hard enough qualifying to adopt a dog from there, so I can imagine how well you must check out to be able to work there.
