Hello, I'll admit from the get go that this sure seems like a dumb question..but I'm missing something here m and its getting frustating

I am trying to help an 82 year old man here in the mountains of central Mexico with his Casio QV-5000 SX which he purchased nearly a year ago.

He cannot download to his computer. The camera has been sitting idle all this time as he turned from 81 to 82 years old.

The manual is of little help

From all I read there should be software caled QV-Link. I think he -had- this but now cannot find it. But then again maube he never received it ( the camera was purchased from a Radio Shack store) I was in the US in late December and stopped in some CompUSA's and Best Buy's hoping to buy it. No luck

But aside from the SOFTWARE issue...there must be a HARDWARE CONNECTION, a CABLE that is missing. (He does have the Video Out cable)

So sorry for the long ramble (and so far Casio has been of little help on this)

WHAT I NEED TO KNOW: what kind of cable, which types of plugs are we looking for? Exactly where in the front of the camera does it go (there is a door that flaps open and there are 3 ports of different kinds...which one is for the Camera to Computer transfer?) Where can we get one? He does have USB ports on his computer.

This model of camera dont have USB port.There are three connections. 1:Current:6v 2:Output to tv (ntsc/pal) configure in the camera. 3: Output to computer .(small)

does your camera require a QV-Twain Driver to operate? if so maybe that is what missing. good luck
