Poole, cpr alive and well and humble as ever

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Poole posts as "TTMHMIY2K". cpr posts as "buytexas".

They have chosen me as their whipping boy, apparently.

Seems as though Poole's having a major guilt trip, though. C'est la vie.

...a racist attack on Mexicans. Shame shame.

-- Hokie (Hokie_@hotmail.com), January 12, 2000.

Who is cpr, and where are they attacking you? Not in here?

-- JoseMiami (caris@prodigy.net), January 12, 2000.

Looks like you are getting torn apart Steve. I suppose you want us to bail you out.

-- Bevis (Paul's@Favorite.Butthead), January 12, 2000.

Nah, just the opposite. I'm a glutton for punishment. Pile it on. :D

Just sharing the thoughts and words of two of the more well-known (and reviled, by some) Super Pollies.

They deserve a larger audience then they're getting, and they most certainly love all the attention. I'm happy to feed their egos, as I'm happy to graciously admit a first quarter "victory" to their "side".

I hope their "side" continues to "win". I'm more a spectator than participant in the "game" now, save for some post mortem commentary.

The "game" will likely heat up again soon. This is the proverbial "clam before the storm" (with apologies).

-- Steve (hartsman@ticon.net), January 12, 2000.

Bevis is right. Looks like you're trolling for support, Steverino.

-- Orangeman (not@there.anymore), January 13, 2000.

God, stop whining Steve and take it like a man or bail out. We don't give a crap about your stupid forum or the pollies that reside within.

The "proverbial 'clam before the storm'"?

Is this some kind of fisherman custom, to consume shellfish in anticipation of bad weather?

If so, please then consider:

"Oysters before the gale"

"Mussels before the typhoon"

or even

"Abalone before the mistral"

'TTMHMIY2K' at the JS Online Forum is calling the sysops here (or us) Nazis.

5. The Doom Morons also engaged in outright *CENSORSHIP* to ensure that their viewpoint prevailed as much as possible. This applies across the board, not just in Washington: Kappelman, Walton, Roleigh Martin, the Nazis at TB2000, you name it.

Read the above repeatedly, as many times as needed.

-- Stephen( really, this isn't that difficult )

Gee, and I thought it was CPR and Stephen's position that left- wingers/liberals/socialists were over-represented among those who were preparing.

Caring, intelligent and reasonable folks disagreed about what the likely effects of Y2k would be. The uncertainty of it all is why I prepared.

ER, You might want to remember that HItler and Stalin were left wing socialist.

Oh no!! Let's all go over there and beat them up!!!!

Give it a rest already, Steve. If you can't fight your own battles, then don't start them in the first place.
