Shaney, to answer your question, I reccomend you to read a thread on this forum under the heading IS THE SABBATH FULFILLED?

The issue is debated at length.

Dear Shaney, The Sabbath Day is Saturday and is kept holy by those of the Jewish faith and Catholics who go to church on Saturday instead of Sunday. Sunday is the traditional holy day of the RCC because Jesus rose from the dead on Sunday. Ellen

Ellen,

Remember that by Jewish standards Sunday begins at sundown Saturday.

Ellen, Besides going to Mass on Saturday evening catholics still have the obligation to abstain from work on Sunday.
