Will the EC fit into and operate in a bino adapter? I do a lot of bird watching and it would be nice to photogragh through my spotting scope. If so any suggestions? Will the EC work in it's automatic mode or should I consider one of the other Minoxs for this purpose?

In principle you may use the EC; you will have to build a bino-adapter on your own. Even with simple tape it should work....

Automatic exposure is a problem, perhaps you can set the ASA dial for 25 or 50 when using a ASA 100 film. See the excellent page: http://www.minoxlab.com/PZ051897/PZ/teleminox_0498.htm for this.
