To all the wonderful people who have written to this forum..and those who have kept it going, I have lurked here for some time..so very glad that the "BUG" did not bite as hard as some felt it might. I just happened upon this site accidentally..I have been prepared for many years...for what "WE" may consider the.....jolt to normalacy.....We livein a society....that hinges on a lot of people..and things...going smoothly. In this life we live.....there are always going to be..events which cause us concern...I guess it is how we react to these events...that set the pattern for tomorrow.

I did feel somewhat tense...prior to 1-1-2000.....after all...with the Biblical prognostications....so called prophets emphasis on TEOTWAWKI....and the Computer Dating\Programming "Glitch".....But as I watched the celebration from Sydney...the display was to me beyond expression....and for the power to still be on......I tell you.....I gained a "Hell" of a lot of faith in "Human Society".

I have really never been what you would call a "Doomer"....more of a survivalist. I have been somewhat...self-sufficient...for many years. I would not retreat to a bunker.....though....I just would not want to live in fear..isolated..in hopes that "I".....would come out alive.....and the rest of the "World".....be non exsistant.

I would like to take this oppurtunity, to thank all the people....that have contributed to this..WONDERFUL FORUM...and to those that have kept it going.

In some previous threads...some have asked.........WHY DO YOU STILL VISIT THIS FORUM?......I'll tell why I do......I have never encountered...the intelligence......the humour.....the depth of feeling....as I have been so honered....to come to this wonderful place.....everyday....for the last 6 weeks.

I am nothing but a speck of "Dust in the Wind".....but i am so thankful....that I happened to blow this way.

Awwww, LadyLogic! You are such a humble person!

But, speak for yourself. I consider myself very intelligent and humorous (although I can't make that little flower thingy you do).

Speck sounds like he/she really has gleaned some helpful stuff from here. Just because you don't find it Mensa material doesn't mean the rest of us poor, dumb idiots don't matter!

There's not a whole lot of room for logic when it comes to love, acts of spontaneity, or imagination! Thank goodness I don't have to be logical or right all the time - it makes the world a nicer place.

Lady Logic, you wouldn't be hanging around here with us meat-heads because you secretly like us, would you? Or are you simply trying to insert some Cro-Magnon thinking into our Neanderthal heads? (Did you know that the Neanderthal brain was quite a bit larger than modern man's?) Of course, that's not logical, since he's dead and we're the one's here talking in this brain-dead forum of ours.

You can come in and play with us, Just a #....but don't take yourself TOO seriously or you'll soon not believe in Peter Pan or Y2K, either.
