Fox News reported on a train wreck in So. Africa. Believed to be caused by a 'technical problem'. Anyone have more details on this?

Two different crashes? The one reported by Fox occurred last night. Was the link about a different wreck? I have looked all over for the story. It seems like I have seen a lot of train wreck reports in the last ten days. Is it too early to tell if this is normal compared to previous years?

There was another crash last october or something. I got confused because the aftermath hit this S African news site the same day as the clean-up report for the more recent crash info. here's a link to that story.

Oh yeah, one detail I forgot to mention...didn't catch how many were killed, if any, but a fuel car exploded as a result of the wreck. Fox showed footage of a massive fire and said something to the effect that rescue(?) workers couldn't get near the scene. I know, I should have paid closer attention. That's what I get for watching TV and computer at the same time.

Thank you very much, Mike.

"According to a Spoornet spokesperson on the scene a train with 11 paraffin tankers and two diesel engines collided with a stationary train with two diesel engine and trucks containing phosphoric acid and lime. The second train was apparently waiting at a crossing for the signal to proceed."

I just love the way they investigate and report the reasons for these accidents.
