The ching (book of changes) says, Reform.

Biting through til union.

When something goes easily, you are liable to be too greedy. Action in pursuit of your goal is not effective. Biting through dried meat, you find gold. Persistance brings rewards. You are aware of the danger, but possess the qualities need by the task. But the Aspect is one of Reform. Lightning above the lake. Good luck.

The time of changes draws near.

Making money with Motorola Call Options!

-- Freddie (freddie@thefreeloader.com), January 10, 2000.

Last week I did great with Motorola Put Options. I make money both ways with Calls And Puts. I don't care if the Stock goes up or down! I make money either way with Options.

I highly recommend anybody getting involved with Options. There are websites with free information how to Trade Options! A great way to supplement your income from your computer!

Long term, buy SEHI and CAV. These are manufactured home builders and all stocks in this industry are SERIOUSLY undervalued at this point. The boom of a couple of years ago caused many to over build and many newcomers to enter the frenzy (most newcomers are defunct as of the past couple of months) and inventory levels are high causing panic levels though retail demand has not lessened. Many have plants shutting down until there is a correction. Look for these stocks start a slow climb in about May. They will probably sky rocket in a year. The only scary one of this bunch I would venture to say is Oakwood. They decdied to be their own finance company and were letting anyone buy, now they have thousands of repos on their lots. American Homestar may be a little iffy as well but Southern Energy Homes and Cavalier Homes are poised to rebound nicely.

FYI: Manufactured homes in Texas now account for one third of all new homes sold.

OK, spare me the jokes about "trailer trash", this is a great buying opportunity!

David, your buy and hold strategy is so boring and such a slow way to make money in Stocks.

I'm usually in and out of my positions is 2 to 4 days and 80% of the time I make money. When an Option goes against me, I can cut my losses immediately by selling. I then turn around immediately and re- invest going the other way. Within a day I have recovered my losss and 2 days later I get out with a profit. Now this is the ONLY way to trade the market!

Buy and hold is for old ladies!

Buy PLUG and MKTY. These are fuel cell producers. Fuel cells take hydro-carbons in and put electricity out with no moving parts and very little pollution. PLUG has had a house running on fuel cell technology since June 98. Started with hydrogen, last 4 months has been running on natural gas.

Imagine a box in a shed outside your retreat that would give quiet electricity as long as you kept bringing probane tanks to it.

PLUG in association with GE says they will have production units available by 2001.

PLUG was up 116% on Friday, MKTY was up 51%. PLUG came down 20% on Monday, but MKTY was up another 10%.

Well Freddy: Most of my money goes into real estate mortgages. Privately held ones that is. I buy the whole thing at a discount, or a I only buy a portion of the note so as to keep the loan to value low and reap the interest. I often bargain for the note and sell at an immediate profit. Been making a living at that for five years. Average rate of return is 19% on my mortgage portfolio. Hey, it's secured by collateral and if the market goes up, then i only make my 19% but if it goes down, darn, I make 19%. Let's see, rule of 72 is that my money doubles every 3.7 years at that rate of return. Can't complain. Also have market investments in mutuals that have made an average of 35%. Darn, that only doubles every two years.

I'm happy for your success. Takes guts and a lot of research.

I also am a risk taker but I choose to do it in the area of land development, commercial rental properties, etc.

Good luck! I think the market is gonna keep going up for a while. (ducking the flying tomatos from the doomers who wish it would crash).

One cautionary point if you will though. Just remember the tortoise and the hare.
