FYI, there is a thread on Michael Hyatt's site in the BugWatch section that reports a few people in parts of the U.S. have had difficulty buying gasoline with credit cards, and in some cases cash, in the last few days.

I've been noticing some pumps not working due to " error 05" whatever that is.

No problems here in N.E. Baltimore. Just filled up my Towncar. Paid cash. Price the same as it was in December.

No problems purchasing motor fuels on Kaua'i. They still take both cash and credit cards.

VA Racetrack wouldn't take cards at the pump, pump wouldn't start with the "pay cash inside" button. Had to get attendent to turn on, and paid cash. Haven't checked other stations. This was about 3 days ago.
