****Something to think about...****greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
Ode to Y2KY2K is a mystery We're filled with curiosity
The Gov set out to swat the bug And sweep the issue under the rug
But the bunkers were built and the money was spent And now we're all wonderin' where Y2K went
Some say it's really a thousand cut death So they're sitting back waiting, just holding their breath
Others are certain it's over and dead While others ignore it, and some call it FRED
We have to admit, it stirred up some CRAP So now, we have to wonder, who will take the rap?
The legal fees will mount, on that you can bet Wish I would have gone to law school instead of surfing the net
Gary and Ed and Cory and the rest Will have to wait it out, but they gave it their best
The Debunkers and Pollies are sure having fun They were never concerned about TEOTWAWKI, a crash, or a run
But only time will tell, who made the right call And I guess we've all learned some things through it all
But for something that wasn't anything, it sure cost a lot of money So you have to admit, this poem is pretty funny.
Guess who =)

The lights are still on...............the water still runs..............they're selling the wood..................and returning the guns...................pollymorphers are screaming................they're having their fun............while Y2K prophets are still on the run..............it's over, it's over............they shout all and one.............when in true reality...............it's only begun.............give it a week..............no make that a month..............they're betting the ranch..............on only a hunch............that there'll be no fiasco...........no time-delayed crunch...........just premature pinnings................and unquestioned trust........that post Y2K.............was only a bust.
