Liberal Media/Klinton Conspiracy?????

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

So we be hearing about all these massive y2k failures. Computers are spewing out bad data and this affect will get much worser as the weeks and months roll on. Then we will get collapse. It is system problem that can not be fixed, and so this country is slowly melting down from y2k bug just as predicted by many leaders such as gary north.

But media doesn't mention this. Nothing but good news! It's ok sheeples, don't worry! And Klinton has done nothing but smile. That man Klinton has destroyed this country, our economy is in shambles and job wages are plummeting has immigrants take our jobs or jobs get shipped overseas. We are practically in depression and all because of Klinton. Plus he has caused huge incdrease in crimes and abortions and all kinds of morality declay. Then he has taken our guns and he even gave china the atomic bomb once they paid for electing him president. He is a traitor and now he is betraying us again by ignoring y2k. The liberal media is his tool to help in this betrayeal.

This is all part of larger conspiarcy of powers to help in taking over this country for new world order. I know people laugh at this but people laughed at Judas too before he betrayed our Lord. The FACT that Y2K is causing massive disruption but goes unreported shows just powerful this conspiarcy be.

Thank God for this board and others for getting the FACTS out. Without it we really be in trouble. Lets keep the TRUTH flowing and be in position to ACT. Lock and load!

You're a great example of the mentality that is the predominant characteristic of the far right.

I know most of you don't want to be 'informed' but the New World Order (One World Government) is openly talked about in U.N. documents and even Clinton's appointed bozos talk about it all the time. Maybe you had better start listening or visit the U.N. website.

-- Y2kObserver (Y2kObserver@nowhere.com), January 08, 2000.

I *want* to assume posts like this are a joke, but you know...

-- Ned Raggett (ned@kuci.org), January 08, 2000.

KMAN, along those lines...I was shocked yesterday when CNN boasted 1997 figure of a drop in abortions to was it 20 or 40? in 1000 women...that's 1 or 2 out of every 50 women in the US aborting in 97'. Yuck.

-- Hokie (Hokie_@hotmail.com), January 08, 2000.

Do you think that after all Clinton has done that he will go out quietly after the 2000 elections? I fear that he's not done yet.

-- BeerMan (frbeerman@juno.com), January 08, 2000.

Lol! Kman is one of those extreme right wingers I get a kick out of laughing at. He sounds like Rush Limbaugh, spewing lies out of every orifice in his body until he is red in the face, steaming from the ears, and on the verge of a heart attack. The stock market didn't crash, martial law was not implemented, the Russians and Chinese didn't nuke us with missiles that Clinton gave them to destroy us, so what's the next bogus trick you're going to pull out of your magic hat? I can't wait to hear it, I could use a few laughs.

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), January 08, 2000.

I think Hawk and his buddies should should be VERY proud of their leader, Slick Willy. After all, he has had by far the finest record of ANY president in the history of the U.S.A. in several areas such as; 1. # of women violated while in an out of office 2. # of top security secrets given to our enemies in return for campaign contributions. 3. He's #1 by far in dollors raised by selling nights at the whitehouse to drug dealers, foreign dignataries, gun runners etc... AND THE LIST GOES ON! Please help add to list. What a loser!

-- Gary Moddrell (gmoddrell@aol.com), January 08, 2000.

Lies, lies, and more lies. Spew away pal, I've heard 'em all. Come on, those have already been overused, can't you come up with something new and exciting? Oh that's right, Rush has been on vacation and World Net Daily was counting on the martial law thing, so I guess they'll need a little more time to come up with some more good ones. I'm looking forward to it! Lol!! :-)

The best magic trick that Clinton's team devised was getting joe6pack to think that a rising stock market = good economy. Al Greenspan agreed to print tons of money and massive ad campaigns and brainwashing meant all the money went to the market. Nevermind that the national infrastructure is half of what it was 30 years ago, that you make a fortune on paper and then get killed by your HMO before your old enough to collect that Social Security that isn't really there, that the trade deficit is at an all time high, that it takes 2 to 3 jobs in a family to provide the marketbasket of goods that 1 job used to provide. So the fake money made on paper in the stock market is then used as collateral for other loans and the debt spiral goes parabolic. (In the early 1970's, banks wouldn't even loan against a woman's "second" income, and that's when most people had already put 20% down on a home and paid cash for cars and appliances.) If this perpetual money machine ever hiccups......just for a few months....

-- d (dd@sover.net), January 08, 2000.

Vince Foster - hah! Don't you think you've worn that joke out yet? That's the problem with you conservatives, no imagination. Though I have to admit, I thought the one about Clinton making plans with Russia to nuke us into dust so that he could serve a 3rd term was a real hoot! Can you think of some more good ones like that please?

d,

It's hard to tell where you're coming from, but you seem a bit confused. Greenspan was first appointed by Ronald Reagan, and this whole blown out of proportion stock market situation is something that came into existence during the Reagan years so that the "me generation" yuppies could get rich without having to work. Believe me, I was there, and I use to work my ass off so those spoiled brats could take home their 6 figures salary for doing nothing but sucking up to Daddy Warbucks. The only reason it is still out of control during the Clinton administration is that Greenspan is still running the show, and the right-wingers would go absolutely apeshit if Clinton dared to change any of that. The Reagan years did more damage to the morals and value system of this country than any other decade in history.

KMAN,

It would appear that you have done a great deal of research and reading on the Internet.

Unfortunately, a great deal of OPINION is presented here on the net as FACT.

You need to be careful and use your discernment when reading information, don't accept everything at face value automatically.

A couple of my Opinions:

We may still "slowly melt down from Y2K bug", but this is a possibility not a FACT(yet).

There have been no "massive Y2K failures" reported, even here on the forum.

The embedded problem at rollover was Much Less than it could have been.

Serious problems have been reported, but they are economic and not life threatening.

No SINGLE issue controls the market, there are multiple competing chaotic forces at work that drive the economy up AND down every day

On to Political views:

I am a Right-wing conservative(Alan Keyes is one of my favorite candidates).

That said, I must disagree with your portrayal of "Klinton". You give him too much personal credit for the evils in our society. The "blame" belongs with each person that doesn't take personal responsibility for his or her actions. I do think Clinton should have been impeached for his actions

The president has not yet "taken our guns", but I agree that he wants too very badly.

When I study history, I see Empires and Conquest and Wars all throughout our past. There is a group in every generation that would like to rule the world. Members of that group are in the current administration, and I am sure they are working to create more power for themselves.

The POSSIBILITY of a totalitarian world government is always there, and recent technology advances make the creation and administration of one more plausible. The UN and WTO and NATO working together COULD make a "real nice" Government, if we allow them to do it.

You can find some interesting information at this Website. www.FreeRepublic.com

Keep the TRUTH flowing.

Why can't I read this post without hearing it with a Boris Badinov accent? I kept expecting him to say "Is true, Natasha".

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), January 08, 2000.

Flintsky,

You are not to be wanting to be knowing of truth of Klintoon. Is not for anyone of true American blood to know of secret hyono-traning he was undergoing of while he was in Mockba. All of while he is foolishly thinking he is on trip of acid at Natasha's apartment.

Natasha is telling me much of what she did on that assignment. And usually she is then going to shower saying she feels of his slimyness.

But is not to be worried of. Reign of Klintoon is to be at end soon. We have other operatives who will to be doing our bidding who will not, shall we say, prove themselves to be of such embarrassments as Klintoon and his co-equal, Yeltsin.

Your pal in all things bad,

Boris

-- Boris Badanov (KGB@Kremlin.gov), January 08, 2000.

Oooooooooohhhh, Boris, you is soooooooo baaaaad! Like the KMAN say: da 'Mericanskis, and Klin-ton-skovich, is in "morality declay".

I must tell all to wisit your cinemas zis summer to see our moo-wie, nyet?

Come closer, Boris, dah-link. I need your sveaty lovink my boobala...

-- Natasha (bad@a.nov), January 08, 2000.

Is funny joke, Boris. Humming economy is called depression. Bad data is spewing and nobody is notice. Rising real wages is called plummeting, falling crime and abortion rates called huge increase! Is all big conspiracy, no? No! Is Big Lie technique, meant as troll for idiots.

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), January 08, 2000.

If you say Kman is lying and too far right, what do you say to explain the reports of the Mena, Arkansas state trooper and the mother of a boy murdered there. Two boys were found dead on the railroad tracks. The mother of one said her son had seen heliocopters, drug runners, over at the Klinton grounds. Are you prepared to call the policeman and the mother liars too? And Juanita Broderick? And the forensic specialist who said the bullet wound in Vince Foster could NOT have been self-inflicted? How can people of good intelligence keep saying the ClintonChronicles is just a right extremist lie? Maybe you just want to be fooled, eh? Come on now, Juanita Broderick was pushed into her rape report that she had kept hidden many years. Monica Lewinsky told the truth about sex in the oval office because she trusted Linda Trip. Vince Foster was murdered because there were strange things at the crime scene that showed no suicide. If I'm gone after this post, I guess "they" got me too. But to a different place, praise Jesus!

-- gl0ria (watkins@dtc.net), January 08, 2000.

Pardon my ignorance, I've not followed these sorts of threads very often. I'm trying to grasp the logic. Have a couple of questions:

1. What is the connection between what Clinton/Klinton did or did not do and the Y2K remediation efforts?

I was part of a Y2K remediation team for 2 years. The discussions my team members and I had were technical in nature as were the Y2K remediation efforts. So, I don't see the connection here with Clinton/Klinton.

2. News Blackouts and Lying about what is really happening:

I'm not a fan of Clinton/Klinton and am in no way associated with any sort of cover-up of anything. Based on the contacts I have had with my collegues at other sites, there are no massive failures to conceal. There have been problems, but nothing that could cause major problems. I observed that the media was a big cause of perpetuating the myth that Y2K was a huge problem. Huge problems sell news. It would be in the news organizations' economic interest to report and magnify failures. What would they gain by going against their economic interests?

-- Chris Josephson (chrisj62954@aol.com), January 09, 2000.

Chris:

You seem to be missing two key points here:

(1) Many on this forum remain faithfully married to the meltdown scenario, or as close to it as they can rationalize. So if the media aren't reporting such meltdown, they must be covering it up. The meltdown itself is a given, not to be questioned.

(2) Many on this forum are profoundly distrustful (to say the least) of anything and everything that influences their lives. You could comb through the archives all you want and never find any support for Clinton, or government in general, except insofar as some vendors hyped y2k in some hearings. Since both government and the media are inimical forces beyond our control, they are evil.

Now combined these, and the permutations become clear. The media are controlled by the evil government, which is covering up the meltdown so that nobody notices. But the underlying facts nonetheless support this general paranoia, provided (as always) that the facts need not be true or accurate.

In any case, I believe KMAN to be a parodist. So he's probably new, since most of us learned long ago that no matter how outrageously you mock the paranoids, you end up sounding just like them.

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), January 09, 2000.

Chris is correct. It is in the interest of the media to have the NEXT headline FIRST. Politicians KNOW this. so... if one can figure out how to get the media to report a story that they will look stupid retracting... ?
