greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

for credit card problems resulting in users being billed multiple times for same object since rollover. Gee...surprised no one seems to have posted this since it was directly blamed on the Y2L bug.

Actually, Satanta, I've read about this at least a couple of times, probably back and forth between here and Michael Hyatt's site. On this site LZach has a thread that mentions it: Y2K Information Gag Order? is the name of the thread, quite a ways down. I believe this is what they're referring to.

Hmm...my spelling left something to be desired.

Think It...I can agree with that. I'm a bit of a Doomer...but I was before Y2K, so I was always prepped. I was just having fun because I figured this would have been plastered all over the board by now. I got to post my first real Y2K related problem...hey...even the Newz blamed Y2K... };-]

Is this turning out to be a data problem? It's looking that way if you read all the stories. Corrupted credit card data, criminal records, parking tickets (I got one from a place I'd never been), portfolios, bank balances, welfare systems, etc., etc. seems to be the general trend. What's the noise level from all this? Does it rise to catastrophic (or will it)? Who the hell knows? If it bites **you** then it's a problem. That's all we know.
