I have a Motorola AirTouch Pager and although my service is working fine, I have noticed that since the rollover some of the functionality has gone by by. Things that used to appear on the display are no longer there. Anyone have anything similar? It is wierd--maybe it is just the pager?

ANYWAY, JUST SITTING AROUND THE OLD Y2K HOTLINE TODAY AND ONE OF MY STAFF SAID HE THOUGHT OF ME LAST NIGHT WHEN HE WAS DRIVING HOME THROUGH SOUTH EAST DC AND COULDN'T BELIEVE HIS EYES WHEN ALL THE STREET LIGHTS ON HIS STREET WERE FLASHING???!!!! no joke. anyone see this before?

some functionality was "non mission critical" ?

I saw the same thing on my block ,only it was 1 street light that was blinking,I to have never seen that before. And I did think it odd.Does anyone know what could cause this.I live in NY.

James:

There are only two things I've ever seen that cause a streetlight to flicker:

A. the streetlight is solar-controlled (turns on when ambient light dim enough) and, at that critical time, it can't decide to turn on or off, so it flickers--irregularly.

B. the streetlight flickers because it's just about to fail, and it flickers irregularly.

If it's flickering REGULARLY I have no clue!

The only reason I even know THAT much is because a friend of mine works for public works...
