Little glich on web sitegreenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
A friend of mine sent the address to the site of realage.com which I tried. To go in you have to register by giving your e-mail address, nation, zip code, and birth date (1951 - 48 years old right now), which I did. When I tried to submit the info I got the following message:The RealAge program is valid ONLY for people 20 to 90 years old. Your age is either less than 20 or greater than 90 years old.
Have I been complimented or insulted??? :-D

That website sucks, anyway. I tried to take the long version of the RealAge test using the IE 5 browser, and it told me I would have to upgrade to the IE 5 browser first. This was last summer.

Complimented, of course, Winna! :)Another website that was having trouble:
"Programming error leaves some customers on Northwest Web site vulnerable....
EAGAN, Minnesota (AP) -- Northwest Airlines is alerting customers who recently made purchases on its Frequent Flier Web site that their credit card numbers and personal information were unprotected because of a programming glitch.
(snip)
The problem arose when a computer programmer doing maintenance on the site put the system back on line, but forgot to restore the security system.
When a customer didn't see a small 'lock' icon as he placed his order in mid-December, he notified the carrier that the information was not secure."
