Y2K A-OK cake on January 27,2000 (at work)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

My co-workers were promised this cake "if" the bug didn't hit.

Since they were focused on Jan. 1 (date) and I am focused on Jan. 25th (first January paycheck i.e. ('data')) I am waiting to see if our large Washinton State department, (Transportation) is truly compliant.

Then I will see if 'direct deposit' is really DIRECT!

P.S. I bowed out of the direct deposit method last summer. Those warrants ARE the real thing, right? -VBG-

WSDOT did some of the earliest, best, and most tested work for the state. Their program was well planned and pragmatically executed. If any agency deserves to get there, they do. Problem is with state printers, sec of state's office, et cetera. It's the chain, not any link.

bona fortuna.

It could be a test piece, then. I'm anxiously awaiting the results. Proof is the pudding, as they say.
