Hell no cause now every polly in the world will be crawling out of the TB woodwork. Looks like the sysops will be putting in some serious overtime or enlisting new troops. Here's your chance Lisa!

Perhaps they know the game is over and they won. Just a thought.

Death of a thousand cuts? More like poison ivy with lots of ointment being applied.

I'm tickled. Never occurred to me that someone could go the their site and suggest it be shut down. Missed my big chance. Pam

Ya gotta wonder, though, since they all already DO seem to be crawling outta the woodwork, here, why do they need a forum?

Not that I'm seriously advocating for a shut down of their little spot on the net, mind you, but the question of forum shut-downs does cut both ways.

Ah, what perfect timing....

Our new password protected, secure forum, newly named "Y2K & Beyond" will go online tomorrow, 1/07/2000. The intent of this board is to focus our discussions on the fallout of Y2K over the next 12-18 months, whatever that may be. It has all the features of this board with archives being the last thing to be added. The current board is still quite active but is not password protected.

The new board also features a special password generating algorithm for unique passwords, as well as IP tracking by user. We will be able to block all offensive, crude, and disruptive posters.

All users that have access to our current board will be sent (by email) the URL to register for a username and password for the new forum. If you would like to participate, please send me an email.

Hey, lisa, who cares? Really, who cares? The Debunking Board still has the likes of cpr and Doc....and that's at least two more brains than the cumulative brains that can be found here....or are your proposed site. I mean, your starting a password-protected forum to talk about what, again?

Jeez, get a clue. The script's been written. 'We' win. (and by 'we', I fon't mean pollies, I mean all level-headed readers that didn't want to see cataclysm. Guess that makes Milne and North losers.)

Doc,

the 214 people that have emailed me for the URL since I posted this message...but thanks for playing.
