drink lots of liquids and either eat oranges, drink the juice or take a vitamin C pill everyday. Mr. Dr. told me it helps ward off infection! Get better and thanks for letting us know what's going on.

Sending feel better wishes to you Pamie. Try some zinc throat lozenges, and lots of Vit. C. We've missed you. Take care of yourself.

This year's flu is a Bitch. I've had it for 6 days now and it's showing no signs of departing anytime soon. There oughta be a statute of limitations on how long a bug is allowed to stay in one body.

Pamie, hope you are feeling better real soon, have certainly missed you. In lieu of new Squishy, I have found myself poring through old Hissyfit, and am enjoying it immensely. Wing Chun cracks my shit up.

Pamie, the Celestial Seasonings throat lozenges are wonderful. Get lots of vitamin C and pamper yourself a bit. Feel better soon!

Pamie, sorry to hear you're ill. Two words - chicken soup. I know it's a cliche, but it always helps me. If you can handle spicy stuff, a good shot of Tabasco in the soup makes it even better and helps clear your sinuses.

Get well soon! We miss you.

Narrowly diverting complete defeat, the Y2K Bug has cleverly disguised itself in the form of a FLU.

Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well Pam. Thinking good thoughts for you, Heather.

I just recovered from a mammoth three week bout of the flu. Pamie, just try and sleep ... nothing else seemed to do me much good. Take care.

Pauvre petite pamie! So sorry to hear you've been sickly. I also hear the flu this year is a real bitch. What a way to start of the (alleged) new millennium, huh?

Feel better, pamie. Hope you went to the doc and got some Tamiflu or Relenza -- I hear they kick all ass. But aside from those, chicken soup is the best cure of all (and this from a vegetarian!). I'll get my mommy to make you some if you want!

pamie, I feel your pain. Well, indirectly times two. My Grandmother, Mom, and youngest sister are all sick with the heinous upper-respiratory flu. The hacking, coughing, and moaning is almost symphonic around here. I think my family alone accounts for at least 10% of Kimberly-Clark and RH Robins' market share. And, of course, I feel myself coming down with the same damn thing right now.

Get lots of rest and visualize your strong white blood cells kicking the ass of the bronchitis molecules.

Pamie:

I know how ya feel, girl. I have bronchitis, and so does my husband. My daughter just got over pneumonia. When I try to sleep at night, the nasty crackling sounds coming from my lungs continually wakes me up.

Thank god for the narcotic cough syrup.

And stop eating the ice cream! Stay away from all dairy products - according to my doctor, it only makes your cough worse. It's been difficult for me to stay away from my beloved Klondike bars.

Get well soon! As a long time fan of your site, I have to say that it's horrible hearing that you're feeling so bad. I agree with the above poster- stay away from the dairy!

We've got it at our house, too. My roomies got married yesterday despite the bronchitis, can you believe it?

Soup, tea (we like Kiwi Strawberry), limited amounts of Vitamin A to boost the immune system, and lots of echanacia (tastes like crap, but helps). Some Valerian (it's a calmative) might get some of those knots out of your back.

Get better soon!

Feel better, Pamie. Bronchitis sucks, especially if you've got asthma.

And no one likes a nag, but if you need any more encouragement, just think of this: I used to get bronchitis every single year. I stopped smoking, and I haven't had bronchitis since. It's amazing how that works out!

I hope you're watching lots of daytime television, though, so you'll have something funny to talk about when you get back!

I wish I had healthy vibes to throw in your general direction. I got sick the MONDAY before Christmas, and am still hacking up God knows what. And yes, I went to the doctor too. I was hit with bronchitis, another random upper respiratory infection, and a sinus infection. Oh yeah, and somewhere inbetween I managed to catch the stomach flu for 24 hours because it went around my office the first day I was back at work. Fortunately, all that's left is the cough (four different kinds of prescription drugs and I still have a cough, though! What the hell??). It's inhuman that one body can house that much phlegm. Wrong wrong wrong.

My advice: Take super-hot baths, suck on Ricola Zinc-alyptus, get backrubs (I had the aches, too - they suck), and sleep. A lot.

Oh yeah, and most importantly, feel better soon. We all miss you. The gazillion message boards that are all saying the same thing should be a testament to the fact that your presence is fairly important to all of us out here in cyberland. ;)
