greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Was here and there...reading and surfing and for an hour or so my Jammer kept going off wirh the same IP coming up...anyone feel like running a trace for me? I've had some probs with my system since my last format a month ago and my Winsocks and DOS are kinda screwy...

from 22:50 to 23:36 I got scanned 5 times. Was getting annoying so I thought I'd send thier ISP a note but all my whois/finger progs are acting badly. Hacker IP: 216.161.123.117 Thanx in advanced.

Santanta; I've been seeing scans from this subnet as well. Would be happy to join you in your complaint. Matter of fact, it might not be bad for a few of us to start collaborating on these problems. I am seeing them more and more lately. It would be nice to catch a couple of them and have them beheaded :)

Would one of you please explain for us clueless ones what the topic here is?

Jammer? Scans?

"Im telling mom" - courage doesn't have anything to do with where your gonads grow.

I'm Telling...first off, I DID ask...I wanted to know where the scans were coming from and why some dumbass was running scans on my comp for an hour. [the smartass's know that after one or two and no open port, your probably not going to find one.] If it was you then why don't you let us in on it- otherwise piss off.

To the others...I'm on the U.S. west subnet...I thought it was kind of strange to be getting ping-ponged by my own ISP. But U.S. West is a pretty big company. So....I've got a list of about 4 diff IP's but only one did a comtinuous scan on me...the one I listed above. Anyone else?
