New Board, old friends?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

The last couple of days has seen "final" posts from several famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view :-))postors. Many people enjoyed the general, big picture thinking on this site, and I am wondering how it could morph into something new, dealing with the new realities of the post y2k world. While we are past this hurdle, clearly other "big" items are still very real and ahead of us. Their is a site based on the book "Fourth Turning" which is very good, but the software format leaves much to be desired. I quess I am spoiled by the ease and formating of this site. Hate to see so many great people fade away, there was a lot of good accomplished also. Any thoughts?

I second this. I'm actually a little saddened by the reported departures of some. I wish we could at least have a forum to keep in touch and share what we learn and know. How about it? How might we do this?

Yes...Let's find another big picture item that we can be wrong about.

Well, some of us are starting to hang out over here:

Stop by! Say Hi! Already a couple of new funny stories, especially the one about "Germade."

Why not start another forum? The few of us who are still interested in Y2K can keep this one and others can migrate to the new forum.

Those who would like to visit from time to time might try the FRLchat on the MSN chat page. I don't have the url, but the page should be easy to find, then type in FRLchat.

BTW you must have a valid email and behave civilly while you are there. (I hope you behave that way when you are not there, also.) Unruly participants are escorted out. (If you have been bad at Bok's chatroom, you probably won't last long at FRL. Fair warning.)

Having said that, welcome.
