Did anyone noctice on Windows 98...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I was on a website and noticed that the site date said Feb 4, 2000 which made check to see what my clock and date were set at--It too said Feb 4, 2000.

Anyone else have this problem? Is this a glitch with Windows 98 1st addition?

Thanks Boz

Just fine here at January 4, 2000. Running Windows 98 first edition.

Did you download the Windows 98 patch for the Y2K update? Click on the Windows 98 Update shortcut to open up the browser, sign on and get your update. If you don't have one, sign onto to http://www.windowsupdate.com

Otherwise, reset the date manually. It seems everyone else is. :)

Mary--

I fixed it manually and it's OK. I was just wondering how my calander advanced one month.

Thanks

Boz, I am also running Windows 98, and my clock and calendar are running fine now, but shortly before the roll over my clock stopped for about 3 hours. But when I shut over the computer and restarted it, it was correct. Just strange Windows 98 glitches, I guess.
