My cell phone will make a call , the next one will just beep or give the message that the other party can not be reached. the funny thing is , I'm not calling other cell phones. I am calling phones on the land lines. I called Cellular One to see what was happening. The first 800 number said that it was no longer in service and gave me a second number to call. The second 800 number gave me a third number to call and said that it was no longer in service. I called the third number and it rang for 10 minutes. No message nothing. Just ringing. I never talked to anyone. I live in the Baltimore area, has anyone else had a problem with Cellular One. My wifes phone is with AT&T service. It works fine.

Sorry PJ, I've had no problems with my Cellular One service (NJ/PA/NY area). Could be a problem 'local' to you, but their billing and other systems also seem to be fine (just paid my bill at the local outlet yesterday).

Hey, as a former Cellular One customer I can tell you that they have always been erratic. There is no indication that this is a Y2K problem or anything other than Cellular One's normally poor service.

I second James' observation. After three years of Cellular One's crappy service in Eastern Massachusetts, I switched to Bell Atlantic in early 1999. No more problems.
