I am trying to decide whether a week in Key Largo will be safe either last week of Jan. or first week in February. I do not know which specific utilities service this area and whether or not they are thought to be reliable in the near future. I know that the Key West water system appeared on the Navy list a while back, but I don't know if it services Key Largo, as well. Some Plant City, Florida utilities had been on the Navy list also. Anybody out there have any first hand knowledge about any of this? (And yes, I already know about the most important installation in the Keys: No Name Pub on Big Pine Key)

I live in Homestead, about 40 min. from Key Largo. No problems. Everything is fine here. Come on down.

I spent the roll over in Key Largo, no problems. Florida Power and Light I believe supplies it power from the Turkey Point facility near by. I have friends there that assure me it is one of the number one rated facilities in the nation.
