Hi

See my earlier answers to ATF security, and discussion on encapsulation. Security systems were expected to fail. One possible workaround is to set the date back 28 years (same calendar). *HOWEVER* this in rare cases could become problematic because many security systems interact with HVAC and other building maintenance systems.

Most PC's (as opposed to embedded microprocessors with real time clocks) will not allow a date before January 4, 1980 to be set. If your system is controlled or monitored by a PC, then trying to set the date back to 1972 willnot be possible.
