LINKS TO Y2K REPORTS

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Have you noticed that Y2K stories in the media or on web sites seem to disappear when you try to re-link to them later?

Please make sure you summarize the stories just in case they are deleted or "respun". Thanks.

Not a very brilliant "media conspiracy" is it if the stories are posted then taken down, are they?

One problem is that stuff like the "Gambia in chaos" stuff ends up being a plain mistake or a clever hoax..(that was a fun one, I'll have to sort that one out......my guess is that some genius took an old story about warnings about what COULD happen in Gambia and misread it/turned it into a story about what WAS happening in Gambia)

tt: Just remember that some of us -- like those of us with WEB-TV -- have no capability to do cut&paste. The best that I can do is provide a hotlink and then hope that someone will be nice enough to copy it over.
