No power or phone off for five hours here in Towson Maryland at the 2900 block of York Road. Just turned back on. Alarm systems going on and off intermittently since 4 am this morning....they are trying to fix it right now. Stay tuned...

Well, sorry to hear that you are experiencing so many problems. The U.S. divisions of Ericsson (and Canadian Division) in RTP, N.C., Dallas, TX, Boston, MA and several small regional offices scattered across the US report NO PROBLEMS. We have an extensive network consisting of WANS, LANS that use the whole spread of MS products along with SAP and several in house programs. Moreover, we support an extensive UNIX and PC network and utilize our own PBX (MD 110) and all passed through the "glitch" without a hitch. Additionally, I see no alarms on our Network Operations Center board and our Global Response Organization reports that all of our Wireless Customers report no problems...For once, Monday has turned out to be a good day. Regards,

anyone want to call Towson Marlyland's power and phone companies?

Or are we just going to say "Thanks Jim, it's starting now. Oh my!"

No offense Jim. Folks on this board question nothing.

Remember with the Soviets: trust and verification - same applies here.

Remember all those posts pre-rollover from people that had "inside dope" about coverups, martial law, and whole grid blackouts. It happened then and could be happening now.

As always, informal unverified reports should be taken with a huge grain of salt. But I think they are worthwhile.

Had shut down the plant and all systems for the rollover on Friday last. Started the plant back up on Sunday and the office system today. Have one problem with inventory management system showing 00/00/00 on system date stamp. Will not allow to be changed. System not locked down. Will have to wait and see if this will affect the rest of the program thru the day.

Your highness,

I question the worthiness of the informal stuff since much of it turns out to be pure BS. It is that same BS that started this foolish board in the first place, rumors about martial law and grid blackouts from these informal insider sources that simply weren't true.

If it's true that the power and phones went off this morning in at the 2900 block f York Road in Towson Maryland, so what? Is it related to the date rollover? Who knows. Better yet, who cares?

I didn't care about the multitude of random scattered power outages before y2k and I don't care about them now. But that's just me. And No offense to Jim if you're telling the truth, but I'm sure you don't care about my phones not working where I live.
