Chips what Chips.....

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Well for the the next 2 months all the doomers on this site (including Ed) will be itemizing all the "real" Y2K issues that will eventually come up but the turth is hard work and intellgence has and will continue to prevail in the Y2K world.

Ed's message on his home page is a nice attempt at spin control, and loosing the back up of messages on 12/31 (how convenient) is also spin control to save is career...as a constant lurker, I remember a lot of posts from Ed and everyone else about "Infrastructure Will Fail".

By now, even if our power was back up, numerous chemical plants would have explored/leaked, sewage treatment was suppose to dump sewage into the water supply, etc., etc., etc....

Are there a lot of problems still out there...YES!! Did it do any good to buy a cabin on the lake with solar power, NO...the world did not end, nor will it because of Y2K. And for you doomers to sit here and post "see I told you so" for the next 2 months because your credit card statment says 1900 need to admit your mistake and move on...

BTW Ed...nice job on dumbing the history on 12/31....you should be in the Clinton administration for a move like that.

Don't worry about spamming me...I'm moving on...I have water to sell!!!

wayne, it is normal to feel "taken" and kind of disillusioned today. there are a whole bunch of us in the christian community who are shaking our heads wondering if we "misheard" god's direction. yet we are all really thankful that there wasn't a meltdown--that would have creamed those who were really vulnerable in this society. and thank god it hasn't!!!!!

don't abandon ship yet and sell your preps. hang in there for at least two to three more weeks, because i have pulled articles on at least 20 or so errors (some fairly significant) this morning alone and i expect more to come.

we will all figure this thing out. somebody shared something on michaelhyatt this am. noah worked on the ark for 120 years (plus stocking up as well for those animals) but IT WAS SEVEN DAYS AFTER THEY SHUT THE DOOR BEFORE THE RAIN BEGAN. stay tuned.
