I post this question with a bit of trepidation, because I certainly do not want to be labeled an "opportunist." Especially because I do not belong in that category. But. . .

When I read the post "reflections on the rollover experience" it reminded me of my obligatory "magic midnight" post made at the JRwhipple site. http://www.jrwhipple.com/z2k/)

I was one of those who signed up long time ago to report from my timezone.

For those who did not monitor that "rollover site" I would like to repeat that I am MOST grateful to the the "geeks/cops" who worked their "you-know-what" off (and are still doing so in many cases) to protect me and allow me to feel that this past New Year's eve was without question the best I have ever experienced in my life.

Now, having said that--don't any of you DARE to ask me how old I am!

God bless to all of you who may be checking in here.

I would love to hear your stories.

Those who know me, know I am a conscientious journalist, and certainly not a "Johnny-Come-Lately." I have been "hanging" with all of you for more than a year. Maybe not always "visible," but always here.

My email address is real and always has been.

Blessings.

Write me if you feel compelled to do so.

Understand, that "off the record" is like a bible for me.

I am a journalist whose mentors date back to Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, etc.

Happy New Year to all who worked so very hard.

:)

Well. I'm relieved everything is working normally for everyone but my computer crashed on the rollover just as it did on 9/9/99 leaving me to reinstall everything. Guess I just have my own Y2k bug...
