What an interesting experience.

You come to a forum over the months to discuss a topic of interest. The majority of people on the forum are decent mature like minded human beings. The discussions involve information from different sources. Some credible some not. Opinions are given regarding the said outcome of the said topic. Predictions are made by some. Thanksgiving arrives. And the blessings flow from the mature decent posters to others on the forum. More info. insues more discussions. relationship build over time. Christmas arrives ,More blessings and Christmas cheer is given to the mature decent folks on the forum. Arguments erupt but most are settled by agreeing to disagree. The symbolic date arrives and nothing--NOTHING--not one physical sign of problems (given a few glitches). Even though a plethora of posts have posted the obvious to wait because it always been a "death by a thousand cuts" and the obvious vested interest by organizations to not mention any problems.

Man o Man--what has ensued since is enough to make one shudder with disbelief. The ATTACKs by some individuals are beyond belief. I've got some polly that keeps getting deleted by the ever vigilant sysops. That keeps posting the same thing over and over again. A direct personal attack. "some doomer dufus named Dave Butts posted predictions" is the title of the thread. He/she goes onto post my predictions regarding the potential for bank runs,stock market crash,disruptions etc.Which by the way I still predict up and until the end of the month. I seriously doubt, had their been severe signs of disruption personal attacks would have ensued against Pollys personally because after all we dont know who the pollys are personally now do we!!!

After a time I changed from siging my name for obvious reasons. The fun at my names expense detracted from my questions.

Again The Sysops i.e. Mr. Ed Yourdon,Diane Squire,Truck driver have my Deep respect for being all any of us our ask to be in life. 'DECENT AND MATURE'

I've noticed since New Year's Eve that there were dozens of new unfamiliar posters, most of them undoubtedly an onslaught of polly troll attacks. Many thanks to the sysops for keeping the system from crashing again, as the trolls attempted to overload the server. I'm still seeing some unfamiliar semi-trollish pollys, but they are more of an annoyance than a serious problem.

Your comments and opinions have been valuable to this forum, despite piss-ant/adolescent comments that don't bother to address the content of your writing. The attacks you speak of say volumes about character of the attackers, and add nothing to the discussion.
