No gun licenses?

This from the Y2K Coordination Center at 2pm 1/2/2000:

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is reporting a problem with its Firearms Licensing System, which issues licenses to deal in the business of making or selling firearms. It is unclear whether it is a Y2K problem. The problem is under investigation. If necessary, the system will revert to the manual issuance of licenses.

Convenient glitch. The instant check system seems to 'fail' whenever there is a major gun show.

LOL, if the pentagon can issue what 600k security clearances pending computer verification, then why would an ATF background check on citizens prohibit 2nd amendment rights? I hope their manual method proves efficient.
