y2k cover for the real deadlines ???????

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

if y2k proves to be a none event which i seriously doubt, this forum should consider researching and posting results on the following real deadlines.

oil... how much is really left and how long will it actually last. population growth...when does it out grow food production. oceans fish stocks.... how little is left for how long. along with the whole range of other none renewable natural resources, such as polar ice caps, ozone depleation and deforestation to name but a few. will we wake up in time to actually see the mess we have created and are living in at the present moment. if y2k is a none event then humanity has just missed it's last wake up call, virtual reality will have had it's way.reality will have gone unnoticed.

Wrong place, bob. The people here are to blinded by their hatred of the government that they don't see the truth.

They trust technology to get us out of all our messes. They think that the next toy will stop over-population, deforestation, rape of the oceans, degraded streams, expiring animal populations, eroded farm lands, polluted water, organochlorines in our blood.

As much as I agree with the people here concerning the debth of deception by our government, I see the conspiracy that gave use Clinton.

The people here hate the government so much they don't see who is really hurting them.

It's giant corporations, greed, campaign contributions, advertising, and TELEVISION.

These are killing the planet.
