Nationwide chain cannot get systems (computerized registers, etc) up. Speculate will be down all day and stores may have to close early to reconcile daily financials.

Well, at least my arteries won't get clogged today. What's the name of the chain?

details, my man details! Who? where? source?

Information becomes knowledge in the proper context

he did not post the chain name. I can only assume this is a complete fabrication.Troll droppings!

-- lenny (Chmielecki@worldnet.att.net), January 01, 2000.

McDonald's in south Anchorage had to close: "computers down".

-- Nelson Isada (isada@alaska.net), January 01, 2000.

I have never trolled yet, moron. It just happens that my sister-in-law could get in trouble for me broadcasting the name. It is her store of which I speak (Wichita, KS). Go shopping and I'm sure you can figure it out.

And, if you don't want to believe it, you AREN'T going to hurt my feelings at all. Any other "reverse-psychology stunts" you would like to attempt before you let the door hit you in the arse ?

McDonalds in Corona, California is open and serving customers.

Well, at least most of us have food.

Bob, Would that be McDonalds on Lincoln? What a trip to wake up and see a post from the place I was born and raised in!

Happy New Years All! Danielle

O.K Rob, in your first post you stated "Nationwide chain cannot get systems (computerized registers, etc) up. Speculate will be down all day and stores may have to close early to reconcile daily financials." This indicates that this includes all or many of the resturaunts.

Next you post "... It just happens that my sister-in-law could get in trouble for me broadcasting the name. It is her store of which I speak (Wichita, KS)..." Now this implies that it is just one store, becuase surely if several stores in this chain were having this problem your sister-in law would not get in trouble for broadcasting the name.

So which is it. And if it is the entire chain, give us the name as you sister-in-law will not get in trouble.

Butt Nuggett,

Is she not a representative of the chain ? Hmm ? Sorry dude. I'm not going to give you then name of the store/chain. Call it a troll or whatever. I posted it for those who are interested. I didn't post it so you or anyone else could analyze the sentence structure or your "perception" of this post. If you can't accept that, so what? Surely not my loss.

-- Rob (maxovrdrv51@hotmail.com), January 01, 2000.

At least answer me if it is occuring at her store only or many stores. If it is occuring at many stores, tell me the name of the chain by posting under a fake handle. Anybody from one of those stores could have posted it.

-- Butt Nugget (catsbutt@umailme.com), January 01, 2000.

Butt Nuggett,

In all honesty, I believe it is the Franchisee stores, which includes some 12, I think. It may be comany-wide but I am skimpy on info at this point. As soon as I have the full story, I will update again. If they all use the same equipment, I would imagine it would be all. I feel safe in saying, at this time, that it is localized and don't have enough info to state company-wide.

Danielle...yep, the one on Lincoln.

MD

Traffic lights on Lincoln and 6th Street are blinking red. All's well here otherwise. Happy New Year!

What you are doing is called "the Politics of Information"

the computer screens went blank just before midnight, Alaska time. Don't know about the other McDs. We'll see who is open tomorrow.

-- Nelson Isada (isada@alaska.net), January 01, 2000.

Sorry Gary. Whatcha got is whatcha got. Go tho another thread if ya don't like this one. BTW, system is still down and the pro's are coming in.

-- Rob (maxovrdrv51@hotmail.com), January 02, 2000.

Rob - Simply, you're a microidiot to think that your relative will get in trouble if you mentioned the name of the chain. Its not top secret info if any customer can go in and see they've got problems and I don't desire visiting Wichita to find out which chain it happens to be.

Rob Bond - THE Protector of confidential sources and industrial secrets - sheesh
