What has caused the 3 digit date at the end? I have seen this number many places in the past 24hrs. Check out debunkies site. How will the puters calculate the year 100 ??? Monday may be very interesting. Was this windowing? Time will tell...................

no, it wasn't windowing, it was laziness.

These clock programs use only the last 2 digits and adds a "1" to the number ( 98+1=99; 99+1=100...) the result is posted with a "19" in front of it. Hence: (19)99 plus 1 equals (19)100.

someone else posted the particular bit of code to show just how bone- headed this is, I'm not a programmer, so I won't post the code.

problems of calculations would result from data exchange with other programs that might read the date as 1910 (dropping one digit), possibly as 20100, or I'm sure there's a myriad of other possiblities......
