Something don't make sense on this nuke report

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Here is a link to the NRC Nuke Plant status report. It is current as of today.

Nuke Plants

It indicates current power output at each listed plant. What I find interesting is the fact that in the column on the far right, they indicate the reasons for the cuts in power (Mostly they say Y2K planned power down, or something like that. This is followed by an (*) asterisk. At the bottom of the page, the explanation of the asterisk is that the explanation for the power down was changed within the last 24 hours. This doesn't make sense, or maybe it's just too early for me.

the actual explanation is that status has changed in the last 24 hrs ie.the power level has changed in the last 24 hrs.

Sorry della I didn't read your full question. An asterick indicates anytime that something has changed since the last daily status(this is not a y2k thing this report is actually filed daily) So if a power level has changed it will have an asterick beside the reason to flag a difference from the last 24hr report

Thanks for the feedback. In my current hungover state of mind, I assumed that a problem arose, and in typical CYA fashion, they had to quickly come up with a spin.

Wish I were in your shoes but I was helping add to the nrc report last night
