According to Los Angeles news reports, the Staples Center, where a large New Year's Eve concert is being held, is being evacuated due to a bomb threat.

Sheriff Baca has now announced that the bomb threat was a hoax. News reports don't say if evacuations have stopped and people are re- entering or if the event has been cancelled
