I live in Berrien County MI.

At 11:45 PM the county dispatch lein system went out. This was announced to the beat cars over the air. This has happened occasionally for the past few months, so this is not the first time. Lein is used to run checks on drivers when they're pulled over. Now, no checks can be made. The dispatcher came on the air at around 12 giving their call numbers and indicating the time. as of 12:41 EST I have heard nothing from the disatch. In other words, they are down, or this turned into a very quiet night. Their computer system is pretty old from what I understand and they're supposed to convert to the 800mhz system in April

We have similiar problems here. Local precinct computers always going down, car computers locking up, DMV for plate lookups for cops always going down, fire department dispatch computer always going down.

One went down 10 minutes ago, didnt phase me because they go down several times a day for as long as I listened to scanners.

---OT, but that's where I grew up. Lovely country, many many fine times there as a kid. Used to stand in front of the whirlpool plant and hawk papers. Hung out at the beach a lot. Played at the old amusement park. Went over to the house of david a lot and visited the old doods with beards there. picked tons of fruit. went hunting and camping and tobogganing where the nuke plant is now.
