Did anyone really think we were going to make it if the nukes went south? Maybe we will have a chance to tidey-up before the lights go out for good....

I can take care of myself just fine, mostly. But, if the nukes let go nearly all at once, I'd be doomed along with every other creature, save cockroaches.

I now have greater reason to hope we will have enough economy left as things unwind, piece by piece, to be able to cool those nuke plants down, one by one, as supply chain problems slowly choke off civilization.

Know what I mean? Formerly hopeless, Robertis

Robertis, Yes, I do know. Y2K is a big factor in what is happening, but there are other major problems in the way our society is strung together.

Anyway, it's not even 10 pm., EST.

Man has only one shot at making a successful civilization. Looks like he messed this one up real good... Maybe this is why we haven't heard anything from the stars, as yet? Robertis

Robertis,

Being a former part-time ufologist I think I can say that it seems that we have already heard from the stars. They said something like: MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION DECLINED.

John Ludi, agreeing with the aliens.
