I'm feeling even more opptimistic now!greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread
I was origonally expecting a 7 to 10, but with so much of the world reporting NO PROBLEMS, I'm feeling very opptimistic. I know that some problems may not become apparent for a while;- the King of Spain's idea of waiting until about 3/31/2000 for a final oppinion is a good one- but for now I am feeling very happy. While I do belive that the media is covering up the problems, I am now expecting a 4 to 9.5, with anything over an 8.5 looking very unlikly, barring catistropic failures/NCB(nuclear biological chemical) war/ or terrorism. THANK GOD!!!!!! I'll post again tomorrow morning and again monday. No, I DON'T regret prepping, as it was money well spent for my protection & benefit. I WILL NOT get rid of anything for at least 3 months. But I am still feeling very happy! God bless you all! May you all have a safe and happy new year!!

I'm with ya. I don't regret out preps (and will hold on to them for months yet).
My worst fears are not coming to pass. I'm a Doomer (have been for 20 months now). C'mon, King of Spain, we all know it's far too early to claim "bumpin-the-road" but you also have to admit that your worst case scenario included a global mess that is not materializing tonight. Right?

EGAD what timing! Their rubbing my nose in it already!!!Just got a call from my neighbor down south of down, announcing a POLY PARTY for Sunday! "10:30 Sunday. Can you come?" For a moment I was psychically tortured -- till I figured out it was another get together to throw polyurethane sheeting over his new 150 ft. long tomato greenhouse! The guy's an organic farmer.
But what timing!

You too, Chrono. I'm fairly happy myself right now. I too am waiting for the end of the 1st quarter before I contiune exhaling my sigh of relief, but I'm pleased that nothing horrible has happened yet. Also pleased that London and Paris seem to be safe. I was kind of worried about naughty people doing bad things with bombs and such, but no apparent crisis arose. Let's all hope this good luck continues...and f**k the stinking pollies and their pugnacious and sarcastic rubbish.

Mabey tonight some elves will come in and fix all that unremediated code, that was ok for 1999, but will be gibberish for 2000.

I'm happy! Yes, f**k the grrrl pollies, if they smile at you, come up to your place, and lay down. Thank G-d there are few problems!!! Now, if G-d and his angels can convert all the internal combusiotn engines to solar, cancel all the debt in the world, get rid of the NWO & make everybody be nice to each other, i'll be ecstatic.
