TOSHIBA PDR-M4 or CANON A50... which should iI Buy? =)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hello all, I've been looking very carefully at both of these camaras. They both have there own positives as well as negatives. I was looking at the pictures in the comparison pictures web page and i found the picture of the A50 to be much more sharper and the PDR-M4 a much more soft picture. The A50 look over exposed in some pictures. The LCD also seems to run a lot more smoother (more FPS i guess) on the canon camara. Will i find my self wanting optical zoom in my camara if i purchase the PDr-M4? Please if you can, reply if you have any feedback, thank you and happy new year.

I don't have information on the two cameras. I know soft pictures can be easily shapened so you would have images that you can work with. If they come from the camera already sharpened and over exposed it would be very hard to correct them. The softer images could also have a contrast correction applied where the over exposed images probably have a zero percent dot in the highlights(no pixels). This may not be of much help and is just general information. Good luck!
