CNN.COM and the unchanging paragraph.

"Meanwhile, there are no early signs of trouble caused by the Y2K bug in areas where the calendar already has flipped to 2000. But experts say it could take days for problems to emerge. "

This snip from cnn web site didn't change (not one letter) from New Zeand's roll over till Indonesia's roll over. Don't you think this is a bit odd ?

Hi all, got turned on to your BB from FreeRepublic.com. My first post here follows.

I'm still amazed at the absolute lack of rollover coverage. CNN's coverage of the Novosibirsk (sp?) New Year consisted of a "live" spot from Moscow -- a report from some guy who "just returned" from Novosibirsk. This "report" consisted of canned footage from -- obviously -- the previous day. After all, Novosibirsk is a couple of thousand miles away from Moscow.

If the media are lying to us, they will regret it. But then, there's always this appearance of Bill Clinton that is scheduled for midnight EST. I'm holding my breath for that. What's he going to say?

No, the proof will be in the pudding when Moscow rolls over, and then the European capitals after that. CNN has already demonstrated that they have correspondents in these places. Watch closely when the New Year arrives in these places. If the coverage is still of Times Square -- beware.

Sorry - Deja changed my email account. I guess I'm the 2774th EarlyBird on their new system. My new email is:

earlybird2774@my-Deja.com

Not that anyone from this BB would actually want to email me, but just wanted to cross all the tees and dot -- well, you know....
