Emergency Net News is reporting several acts of (millennium-related) violence which have taken place.

Tampa: at the Radisson Harbor Inn, it is reported that 5 people have been killed and a possible 3 wounded by a gun man.

New York City: Four individuals taken into custody on possible terrorist related plans.

Israel: suicide bomber attacks Israeli soldiers; at least 10 injured.

Indonesia: At least 250 killed as Muslim and Christian clashes escalate.

Sadly this type of violence has been underway for a while. This could be the headlines for any day. Nothing to get millennium excited about.

Ok, I'll buy that a couple of these are vaguely millennium related but most clearly have nothing to do with the date. That's like calling the highjacking in SW Asia "Christmas-related violence". Try to keep some perspective.....
