i did a bit of shopping at one of our three major grocery stores in Pearland, Tx. about 1:30 am Dec. 31. Im very famliar with this store and i visit there several times a week. Things looked pretty normal during this visit except that a few items were noticeably in short supply. Almost all toilet paper and paper towels were gone. Baby food in jars seemed to have been well picked over much more than ususal but there was still enough left to shop through. Almost all bottled water was gone including packages of smaller containers. Normal re-stocking was about to begin as i arrived. I didnt notice any unusual activity at service stations on thursday dec 30.
