Watching Y2K in New Zealand

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Hi all,

For those who want to watch Y2K roll through New Zealand in a few hours, their govt has set up an impressive site for doing so at

http://www.y2k.govt.nz/home/Navigationpage.htm

See you on the other side.

Too bad we don't have a cool site like that for the US. Oh well. I guess we'll have to find out what's happening via CNN.

That's like what they have in the command centers, paid for with our money, yet we won't be allowed to see it.

They lost power for a water system in the Waikato region 18 minutes before rollover, cause unknown.

I think their computers went down, for the web site at least. No sign of any changes on the site since 23:59:33, just 27 seconds before rollover, and none of the time clocks have moved since then.
