To encourage you all...

Tomorrow is rollover day...we watch y2k follow the timezones around the world and go to our homes.

AND SO WE HAVE ARRIVED. WE STAND ON THE CLIFF OF TIME.

For a year my family and I have prepared for possibly catastrophic impacts upon our civilization. Even now, nobody--save Almighty God--knows what the future holds. We have all borne the burden of studying and preparing for the impacts and effects of Y2K. We have endeavored to encourage others and share knowledge. Some have listened--most have not.

We stand in cold darkness at the edge of a treacherously high cliff. The future--tomorrow--lies beyond the edge. We have peered into the abyss, but do not surely know what awaits us.

The future promises change: adventure, chaos, upheaval and renewal. Perhaps we shall all witness the end of an age and the death of a civilization. Perhaps we shall suffer only a little--while learning alot--so we can grow and build a better life for ourselves and children in the coming years.

ONE THING I KNOW: we shall not confront the future alone. I've manytimes been lost, only to find my Savior patiently waiting beside me! I've discovered you all--new friends--along my path this year and I shall not forget you. I shall pray for you all and remember you daily. Please remember us.

Tomorrow we gather our loved ones and wait our turn to step off the cliff...into the unknown.

God will hold our hands.

Happy new year Kurt.

Kurt, thank you for your post. I have memorized the 91st Psalm as part of my Y2K preps--it looks like it was written specifically for this point in time.

Sher:

If I remember correctly, you once posted Psalm 91, or referenced it. I looked it up and loved it!

You are so right--it is applicable to today eh?

I've written a "countdown diary" for the boys, a record of life in '99. In it I wrote down Psalm 91...Thanks again!
