Sysops- If I am right this is a unix based operating system, if so cant you find out the IP addresses of the most offensive visitors of this forum and put a deny file so they cannot httpd visit ?

Got to be a way to block the two or three spammers..

Unfortunately, that would block a lot of other posters too.

If they look at the logs they can isolate it to a partial c-block. At worst lock out a hundred or so ip addresses.

I dont think too many people here live where the idiots do, got to be a small ip address range.

Yes, I do this sometimes but it requires manual intervention and the goal of my life is not to be a sysadmin for a Y2K discussion forum...

There are some other pure and simple performance issues having to do with a huge lively worldwide discussion on a 5-year-old computer!
