I hope those able to do so donated to the no-kill animal shelter promoted by Phil. I like these organizations. I donated $100.

I like these too. We have one where I live supported totally by donations and hard working volunteers.

Once a month I buy dog food for our shelter...even got my dog at the shelter.

I second the value of shelters...our faithful family canine came from the local shelter...and he was past due to be put down. Unfortunately, we have a LARGE surplus canine and feline population on a limited island. The local shelter does a heroic job of finding homes for those animals...

Remember the shelters year-round!

(PS - I hope you remembered to get some extra kibble...for strays...)

Mad Monk, yes I got extra doggie and kittie food for neighbors animals so they don't turn into strays:)

Yes, Count, I was happy to. Phil has been very generous and I figure the dogs are good guys, whether pollies or doomers. Our cat is kind of a polly. He just can't get the facts in his head. He will jump at Y2K and pummel it if it comes near.

My wife and I have donated $100 to SARA. We are wildlife rehabbers and support no-kill shelters.

Yes, I have contributed...I wish I were in a position to give Phil one of those Penguin Computing Quad Pentium III servers...I tried to use the configurator but it is somewhat less than Intuitive...

I like the FAQ about coinstalling Microsoft OS's...Those folks are real up front...They HATE Microsoft...WOW...and the animated .gif with a crash dummy's head smashing into a monitor...LOL!!

Seriously, though...I'm grateful for even this repreve for the Board.

I made a donation to SARA. I wish the earth was a no kill shelter for wild animals but that's just a pipe dream.

Once I saw a sad yet ironically comical bumper sticker.

Earth First!, we'll wipe out life on the rest of the planets later something to that effect.

No Kill Shelters - Yes! I'm sorry I've spent any extra money I had on Y2K prep. BUT that includes huge amounts of dog and cat food - actually they probably will eat better than I if wierdness should extend into a long period. I wonder how dry dog food with a little rice milk, maple syrup and cinnamon would be? Also on the lighter side - I have an organization called "Pit Bulls for Peace" - so far only have bumper stickers. Anyone interested? It's not for profit - but could donate to a shelter as above mentioned. Hopefully we'll be around to give input to something so "trivial" after this roll-over!
