Spike's route to control 21

My plan for this leg was to go through the rough open area (slightly left of the straight line route). But, when I got close to the rough open area it looked a bit thick. I changed my plan and decided to stick to the trail. I was NOT using the trail to save any climb (at best it only saves one line). I was really feeling worn out as I got near the control.

I had seen the back of Mook as he left #20, and my focus was to at least try to keep him in sight and, hopefully, catch up. Mook started out the way Spike did, but then cut throught the middle part of the rough semi-open left of the beeline. We crossed near the stream junction and I climbed a little more quickly than Spike did, up to where it flattened out, and then ran along the slope into the control area. Mook and I punched together.
