Striking image! I like how the deer is framed between the tree trunks... really gives me the feeling like I'm there myself. The head of the deer is well lit which add glint in eye and nose making the face pop out. I'm glad the space above the antlers wasn't considered useless and cropped out. It helps continue the feeling of vertical space above the antlers. Nice job.

Very nice picture. My only nitpick, (and it is an extreemly small one), is the small dark tree directly behind the deer's head. Very well done.

I really like this one. A little fill flash (if appropriate) might have brought up some detail in the shadow on the deers' back but an impressive photo nonetheless. Where did you shoot this?

Great shot. I am most impressed at how "real" the colors seem.

Both one of my models and I think that this would be an excellent cover for Field & Stream. Congrats.

Jim,

This is the sort of image that makes big game hunters drool! And it's the type of shot editors love too...$$. Excellent job with composition, exposure and conveying the sense of "being there".
