This question is kinda like asking, "how long is a piece of string"?!! There is no absolute answer to this question. Is your cat indoors-only or allowed to roam? If it is allowed outside, you can deduct about two-thirds off its lifespan due to all the dangers there (cars, animals, humans, diseases, etc. etc.). I have known excellent quality MCs who live to be in their upper teens (16+) but have also known well-bred ones who died of heart or other problems at age 1 and 2. MCs are no longer-lived than other breeds of cat but neither do they "normally" live shorter lives. Hope this helps!
