Why my MPEG file is smaller than Original 640 by 480

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Most of my animations are render under 640 by 480 but when I convert to MPEG. It reduce down to 352 by 240. is it going to show full screen on my TV? If not, what should I do? If it's ok, then should I render my animation lower than 640 by 480? The files will be a lot smaller for me. Thank you in advance LONG

The VCD NTSC standered is 29.97 fps and the size is 352 by 240. You should render your AVI animation as 30fps and 352x240. Only still images can be a higher res.(like as a background for a menu page) The 352x240 will be full screen on your TV. Good luck
